Season Junior Olympic - JO Provincial Program Overview

Gymnastics is a proven sport in developing stronger athletes for all athletics. It helps develop balance, rhythm, confidence, coordination and much more. This can help build character and instill respect. This program develops behavioral discipline, technical gymnastics, physical fitness and healthy eating.

*Fees are based on 2018/2019 fees

  • For girls ages 7-16 years – COMPULSORY ROUTINE PROGRAM

  • Training hours 9 hours / week - Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 6-9 pm

  • Competitive level compulsory routines – choreography provided by the J.O program. Compulsory music and routines are pre-made for every Athlete doing the same routine to be evaluated at meets.

  • Travel required to compete to 2- 3 qualifiers per season. Competitive season runs November – May. The competitions are held within the province (we try to go locally – Southwestern Ontario, whenever possible)

  • Approximate cost is $80.00 per meet registration plus travel expenses for each meet. (Three meets a year)

  • Potential to earn a spot at Ontario Championships if qualifications are met by averaging the scores at all the meets, they attended and determined by hitting a set score and also based on the number of registered Athletes in their category and age level. (Set by Gymnastics Ontario)

  • Provincial Championships meet fee – if they qualify to attend – approx. $115.00

  • Monthly training costs: Approx. $220.00 per month + bi-monthly fundraising fee $20

  • Yearly Insurance Costs with Gymnastics Ontario – approx. $140

Clothing

The list below is approximate costs based on last year (subject to change slightly)
We try to keep the clothing the same for 2 years.

  • Leotard - $70 Team

  • Jacket - $100

Black legging /yoga pants required; however, this can be purchased on your own from wherever you like.

  • For girls ages 6-16 years

  • Training hours 6 hours/week - Monday & Wednesday or Monday &Thursday 6-9 pm

  • Optional routines and music with 1 in house meet and optional 1 away meet per competitive season.

  • Approximate cost is $80.00 per meet registration plus travel expenses for each meet.

  • Competitive season runs November – May.

  • Possible 1 away meet in Port Huron or local U.S city. – This meet is optional.

  • Approx. $200.00 per month plus bi-monthly fundraising fee $20

  • Yearly Insurance Costs with Gymnastics Ontario – approx. $140

Clothing

We try to keep the clothing the same for 2 years.

  • Leotard - $70

  • For girls ages 6-16 years

  • Training hours 15 hours / week – Monday through Friday 3pm-6pm Training hours 25 hours/week – Monday through Friday 7am-9am & 3pm-6pm

  • Competitive level optional routines – choreography provided individually to allow for personal style and creativity. Approx. $400-$800 for a 2-year routine

  • Travel required to compete to 2- 3 qualifiers per season. Competitive season runs November – May. The competitions are held within the province (we try to go locally – Southwestern Ontario, whenever possible)

  • Approximate cost is $80.00 per meet registration plus travel expenses for each meet. (Three meets a year)

Advanced Kindergym Program Outline

  • For girls ages 3-5 years

  • Training hours – 2 hours / week – currently Thursdays 5pm-7pm OR Saturday 1:30pm-3:30pm

  • Physical shaping and preparation work for potential competitive stream

Costs:

Recreational Session Format

  • Gymnastics Ontario Insurance fee approximately $32.00 per year

  • $220.00 for 10-week session

  • $20 fundraising fee each session
